Campfire Stories - Week 2

 Bible Story Reference:  The Shunammite Woman’s Son - 2 Kings 4:8-36

Takeaway: God is (point up) our Rescuer (cross arms in front, then uncross them)

Memory Verse: “God is (point up) our protection (cross fists in front of chest) and strength. (flex arm muscles) He (point up) always helps (cup fist in opposite palm, moving upward) in times of trouble (wave hands around by face) Psalm 46:1 ICB (palms up and together like a book)

Weekly Mission: This past weekend, we learned about the story of God bringing the Shunammite Woman’s son back to life. Help your preschooler think of some things that worry him or her. Write a prayer to God on paper or in your child’s campfire badge booklet asking Him to rescue your preschooler from those worries. Then, help your child draw a peaceful picture underneath for us to see!
*Don’t forget to have your child bring their booklet back each week for a weekly attendance badge sticker and a trip to the treasure chest for each completed mission!

Pray: Pray your child will always trust God as their Rescuer!

*We started our Campfire Stories Series in Kids Planet last week and your child received a special Campfire Badge Booklet with each week’s lesson, takeaway, and mission inside. There is also a spot to complete the mission each week for a trip to the treasure chest.

Please be sure to bring this booklet each week so we can give your child his or her weekly attendance badge sticker. Six badge stickers will earn your child an additional trip to the treasure chest filled with awesome campfire goodies!
