When Pigs Fly: Honor God and He will Honor You

He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David. 2 Kings 22:2

Josiah…did not turn aside to the right or to the left. 2 Kings 22:2

And he reigned in Jerusalem for thirty-one years. 2 Kings 22:1

Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did. (He) turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength. 2 Kings 23:25

He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, following the detestable practices of the pagan nations that the Lord had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites. 2 Kings 21:2

Manasseh also sacrificed his own son. He practiced sorcery and divination, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger. 2 Kings 21:6

Manasseh also murdered many innocent people until Jerusalem was filled from one end to the other with innocent blood. This was in addition to the sin that he caused the people of Judah to commit, leading them to do evil in the Lord’s sight. 2 Kings 21:16

He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, just as his father, Manasseh, had done. He followed the example of his father.  He abandoned the Lord, the God of his ancestors, and he refused to follow the Lord’s ways. 2 Kings 21:20-22

And then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God. 2 Chronicles 33:13

There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 16:25.

When the King heard the words of the Lord, he tore his robes. 2 Kings 22:11

Great is the Lord's anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book. 2 Kings 22:13

"Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people—that they would become a curse and be laid waste—and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you.” declares the Lord. “Therefore I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place.” 2 Kings 22:19-20

Is your attitude honoring to God?

Are the choices you're making honoring to God?

Is the way you are treating others honoring God?

Are you personally applying the word of God to your day-to-day life or have you discarded the word of God to a drawer or a shelf?

"This is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word." Isaiah 66:2
