The X-Factor of Friendship: How to Fix Your Friendships


“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar.  First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.” Matthew 5:23-24

1. Go see them privately.

“If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you.” Matthew 18:15

2. Be careful what you say and how you say it.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24

3. Try to come up with an action plan on how things can and should be different from this day forward.  

Work at getting along with each other. Hebrews 12:14

Do not repay evil for evil… If it is possible as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:17-18
