Pressure Point: Living One Day at a Time

Human beings are like the grass that is renewed in the morning. Though in the morning it springs up new, in the evening it fades and withers. Psalm 90:5

1. We without asking God for help.

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."  Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. James 4:13-14

Two questions that should be on our mind all day long:

Does what I am about to do bring honor to God?

Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him.”  Colossians 3:17

Is what I am about to do the best use of my time?

I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Nehemiah 6:3

2. We for granted.

Life is brief.

What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.  Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."  As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. James 4:14-16

Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow. Psalms 144:4

Life is also uncertain.

Life is insignificant without God.
