Every Last Drop: Love God with All of Your Mind

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Love the Lord your God with... all your mind.” Mark 12:30

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2

Absorbing and applying scripture is what fuels the process of the mind being renewed.

The result? A transformed life and the ability to truly love God with all of our mind.

• 11% of American Christians report reading the Bible daily.
• 7% of Americans read the Bible daily.
• 82% of Americans are open to the Bible as a source of spiritual wisdom and wish they read the Bible more.

The most cited reason for not reading the Bible is that it is difficult to understand.

Strategy 1: Set a time & place.

“Show me your calendar and I’ll show you your priorities.”

“Your calendar reveals your convictions.”

“The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” – Stephen Covey

All Scripture is God-breathed… 2 Timothy 3:16

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35

Strategy 2: Approach it correctly.

Approach the Bible relationally.

Approach the Bible for application.
The Bible was not written for information, it was written for transformation.
James 1:22 says, Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourself. Do what it says.

We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 1 John 2:3

“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.” John 14:21

Strategy 3: Study the Bible.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19–20
