“Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom of Israel?”  Acts 1:6

Jesus said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:7-8

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. Acts 1:14

1.)  THEY PRAYED CONSTANTLY

I want you to set aside a place and a time to pray.
I want you to get in the practice of talking to God all day long.

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3

Does this request advance the Kingdom of God?
Does this request benefit others?
Does this request help you to grow spiritually?

2.) THEY PRAYED SPECIFICALLY.

Dear God, “Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed that for some reason you sent it through Washington, D.C., and those guys deducted $95 in taxes!"

3.) THEY PRAYED BECAUSE THEY REALIZED THAT THE JOB JESUS GAVE THEM WAS A BIG JOB.

4.) THEY PRAYED TOGETHER.

They all joined together, constantly in prayer...  Acts 1:14

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20
