Deliberate: The Final Hours of Jesus' Life

 

“My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.” Matthew 26:38

…face down on the ground Jesus prayed, “My father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine.” Matthew 26:39

“Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” Matthew 26:53

“Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour—when darkness reigns.” Luke 22:52-53

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. Isaiah 53:6-7

Deliberate: Jesus is the One we Need

...sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a donkey tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’” Luke 19:29-31

...“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna!” John 12:13

“Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” Luke 19:39

“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” Luke 19:40
