Message Notes

Big God, Little Me: God is faithful

Not a word from their mouth can be trusted. Psalm 5:9

Many a man proclaims his own loyalty, but who can find a trustworthy man? Proverbs 20:6

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19

1. God is .

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

"For I am the Lord, I do not change.” Malachi 3:6

2. God is a keeper.

''The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my maidservant; perhaps I can build a family through her." Abram agreed to what Sarai said. Genesis 16:2

3. God is even when we are .

“Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.” A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” John 20:25-27

Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; 2 Timothy 2:11

If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; 2 Timothy 2:12

if we are faithless he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 2 Timothy 2:13

“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:28-30

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14
