Wise – Week 1

Talk to your kids about the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Make sure they know that wisdom comes from God.

Have each person share an example of a wise choice they made this week.

Read 1 Kings 3:5-15

Do you think God would have given Solomon what he wanted if he asked for something other than wisdom? 

Why did God give Solomon more than he asked for?

God was pleased with Solomon’s request; what kinds of requests do you think we can make that would please God?

Close in prayer by thanking God for wisdom and knowledge. Ask Him for a heart that desires wisdom and understanding.
