When was a time you were given a second chance to do something? What
happened?

Read Jonah 2:10-3:5
1. What happened before this point in Jonah’s story?
2. Was this the first time that God told Jonah to do this?
3. Have you ever “ran away” from something you needed to do? What
happened?
4. What happened after Jonah told the people God’s message?
5. How often do you think someone should be given a second chance? What
does Jesus say to do?

Have you ever felt like you failed at something before? How did it make you feel?

Read Isaiah 41:8-11
1. If someone is perfect do they ever mess up or fail? Is God perfect?
2. Do you know who the descendant of Jacob and Abraham was that the bible was talking about? (Jesus) Why is that important?
3. Do you know of any plans that God made in the bible that came true? What
were they?
4. Why do you think it’s important to know that God’s plans never fail?
5. What are some ways God showed His perfect love for us?
