All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Ephesians 1:3
Of all the things I could be concerned and worried about in the world, I am certainly not worried about Prince William and his wife, Kate's children. You see, they are children of royalty. Because of that, I know that they are going to be taken care of. They have an inheritance they will receive one day, and it can be concluded that all of their most basic needs and not-so-basic-needs will be met. That is the thing about children of royalty, they will always be taken care of. Did you know that on an even greater level than the duke and duchess of Cambridge, if you are a follower of Christ, you are a child of royalty, the King of Kings, and that changes everything.
We have been studying 1 John 1:3 this week, and in our study, we have been reminded that we are God's children if we have placed our faith in Him (1 John 3:1). God is the King of Kings, and there is much privilege in being the child of royalty. One of those privileges is inheritance. As followers of Christ, we have an inheritance because we are God's children. This inheritance is the promise of eternal life one day. One day Jesus is coming back to bring His people to dwell with Him forever, and if we are God's children, we will have eternal life. God's children have nothing to fear, not even death. This is the hope we have because God has made us His children.
The apostle Paul says it this way in Ephesians 1:3, "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ." Did you catch the words in this verse, "every spiritual blessing?" It is true, friend, that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing if we have placed our faith in Him. That means you lack not a blessing from the Lord! He has given you everything you need, and much, much more. As a child of royalty, a child of the Most High, you do not have to worry. You are being taken care of.
Maybe today, you are feeling hopeless. Maybe your life has turned out very differently than you expected. My friend, let me remind you that with God, there is always hope. You are God's child if you have placed your faith in Him. This means you have the hope of eternal life with God forever and have a glorious future ahead of you. Be encouraged, friend, because God is still working in your life, and He has promised you hope for your future!
Spend some time in prayer today. In your prayer, spend time thanking God because of the hope you have in Him. Thank Him that, because you are His child, you have an inheritance and can live with the certainty that you will always be taken care of. Then, boldly live in this certainty today.

This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus.
I am writing to God’s holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus.
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.
God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.
